Coronavirus: Reduction of quarantine is also suggested by Berlin

Limiting its duration quarantine in seven of the 14 days for special categories of workers, the Federal Minister of Health of the Republic of Germany Karl Lauterbach.

Mr Lauterbach justified the changes by noting him risk of significant staff shortages due to its large spread Omicron mutation and stressed that his proposals are based on scientific evidence.

General population

As far as general population, both infected and non-symptomatic people can be screened after seven days. If it is asymptomatic children, after five days can be subjected to molecular or “fast” test.

After ten days, they can end the quarantine without a test.

According to the same proposal, always, who they are vaccinated and with the booster dose they do not need to be quarantined, as those who have completed their basic vaccination up to two months before.

Final decisions on the issue are expected to be taken at the chancellor’s conference Olaf Solts with prime ministers of the States on Friday.
