Coronavirus – Russia: Admissions to Moscow hospitals increase by 20%

The situation with its dispersion coronavirus in Moscow is worrying, as the increase in patient admissions reaches 20%, the mayor of Moscow announced on Monday Sergei Sobyanin.

“The situation with Covid-19 cannot but be a cause for concern. “We are seeing an obvious increase, a sharp increase in morbidity,” Sobyanin warned, adding that “the increase in morbidity in the last week has been 30% and hospital admissions exceeded 20%».

It is noted that Moscow is in the first place in Russia in terms of the number of cases, as broadcast by the TASS agency. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,650,649 cases and 29,242 deaths have been recorded in the country’s capital.

25,781 cases and 883 deaths in one day

In 25.781 new cases are emerging in Russia the last twenty-four hours. The total number of infections since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic is close to 7.612.317, according to Reuters.

The government responsible for dealing with the pandemic also announced that in the last twenty-four hours 883 deaths (compared to 890 the previous day) while since the beginning of the pandemic they have been recorded in total 210.801 deaths.
