Coronavirus: Some vehicles from the “Freedom Convoy” arrived in Brussels despite the ban

Some protesters who took part in the “convoy of freedom” in Franceleft yesterday, Sunday, from Paris in the direction of Brussels. According to Belgian media, last night hundreds of protesters were gathered in Lille, France, on the border with Belgium, while police forces were deployed in Brussels and on the French-Belgian border.

This morning, The police reported “small groups” protesters on the motorways to Brussels.

According to the Belgian radio and television network “RTBF”, from 50 to 100 vehicles had already crossed the border by 22:00 last night, while today hundreds of vehicles are expected to be scattered in the capital.

In addition, the police, who have been advising citizens not to use their vehicles heading to Brussels since Sunday, announced this morning that a main section of the motorway leading to Brussels has been closed, while checks are being made on the outer ring of the Brussels.
