The 14-day incidence index increased by 267.2 points, to 2,989.47 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

The bed occupancy rate in intensive care units (ICU) increased to 23.58%. The percentage of all hospital beds occupied by patients with COVID-19 is currently 13.4%, according to the APE-BPE, citing Xinhua.

These data were announced on the day that schools reopened in Spain after the holidays. According to the Ministry of Health, 32.1% of the 3.35 million children between the ages of 5 and 16 have been vaccinated.
