Coronavirus: The situation in Russia is dramatic – 13,397 cases in 24 hours

In a state of panic due to the outbreak of the coronavirus is Russia. In the last 24 hours alone, 13,397 new cases have been reported, including 5,782 in Moscow, bringing the official national toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 5,249,990.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin pointed out, as reported by the Athens News Agency, that the situation with coronavirus in the city is evolving dramatically and called on citizens to be vaccinated in an effort to reduce hospitalizations and deaths due to Covid-19.

Authorities in Moscow will make COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for 60% of service workers, according to a decree issued today, as cases continue to rise in the Russian capital.

The government’s pandemic management service said 396 people had died from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 127,576.

The Federal Statistical Office gives a separate report and has announced that the country has recorded about 270,000 deaths from COVID-19 from April 2020 to April 2021.
