Experts from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) visit Moscow as part of checks for approval of coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V. Citing unnamed sources, the Interfax news agency reported on Monday (April 12th) that they had already visited two clinics in the Russian capital, where patients were being treated during the important phase III of clinical trials.
“They received all the information they requested”, reports the agency, according to which, “EMA experts spoke with the medical staff. Visits to its production sites are also planned vaccine».
In early March, the EMA launched a testing process for the Sputnik V as part of a so-called “rolling review”. During this procedure, the results of the vaccine tests are checked, even if not all the data are available and an application for approval has not yet been submitted.
According to information from Moscow cited by APE-BPE, Sputnik V is already registered in the lists of 59 countries. Germany is also in talks about possible deliveries of the vaccine.
