Coronavirus vaccine: Israel will offer a third dose to those over 60 years of age

Israel will start offering a third tranche vaccine of Pfizer / Biontech against coronavirus to its citizens who are over 60 years old, as broadcast by the country’s media, quoted by Reuters.

In fact, there has been information from the Ministry of Health that an aid dose may be offered to address Delta mutation from Sunday, the same information states.

US and European Union regulators are examining whether boosting doses are needed for specific vulnerable groups.

Pfizer, for its part, is seeking urgent permission from the US authorities for a third dose of its vaccine, which it says will likely help people maintain high levels of protection.

New data of the company that had the light of publicity state that one third dose of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine against Covid-19 may provide “Strong” protection against Delta mutation – in addition to the protection offered by the two installments.
