Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development

Since its establishment, CEO Clubs Greece has envisioned the creation of a community which, through its actions, in combination with the professional and social status of its members and the material and immaterial resources available on an individual and collective level, aims to influence dynamically the wider economic-social whole to which it belongs. This vision was further strengthened by the new strategic narrative of the organization presented in 2021 and since then it governs all its programs, confirming in practice the evolution of the Club into a “Home” of collective wisdom, sustainable development and forward thinking, with the ultimate goal of capturing of a distinct “stamp” in modern leadership.

Consequently, the concept of corporate social responsibility is expressed in CEO Clubs through the organization’s contribution to the development of the corresponding mentality in its members who, as leaders of the largest companies in our country, influence with their attitude, thinking and actions the economic and social developments in the Balkan Peninsula and South-Eastern Mediterranean. In other words, we are referring to an exponential transformation that takes place at the top level and spreads in all directions, creating the conditions for essential and stable development at the individual, corporate and social level.

A typical example of the above are the programs curated and offered by the Club’s School of Leadership Practice, specially adapted to the needs of Greek CEOs and board members. The innovative composition of these programs reflects the importance of corporate governance, the rules that define the operation of a board of directors and a company, which inevitably include alignment with ESG criteria. Thus, addressing environmental and social issues that are already deeply rooted in CEO Clubs’ vision and goals becomes a direct and indirect priority of the organization’s educational and broader development programs, cultivating a social culture of responsibility, both individual and corporate, so so that Greek businesses can stand on equal footing with global competitors, bequeathing to the next generations a work of which we can all be proud.
