Corsair has unveiled the optical-mechanical version of the K70 RGB TKL Champion gaming keyboard. Inheriting “an award-winning numeric keypad-less design and stylish aluminum chassis,” the manufacturer says it “raises the bar for esports-caliber gaming keyboards” by using Corsair’s “ultra-fast” OPX switches.
Corsair OPX Opto-Mechanical Switches boast an incredibly short actuation stroke (1.0mm) and a linear response that make the keyboard attractive to eSports players. In addition, the switches are guaranteed to withstand 150 million clicks. The keycaps are made of PBT plastic by double injection.
The keyboard is connected to the computer with a detachable cable with a USB Type-C connector. Corsair AXON Hyper-Processing technology provides polling at 8000 Hz.
The keys are adorned with individually programmable RGB lighting that can be customized using Corsair’s iCUE software. Keyboard settings can be stored in the built-in memory (up to 50 profiles). The “tournament switch” on the rear panel allows you to quickly bring the keyboard into line with the rules of tournaments. It instantly selects a static highlight color and disables macros. The keyboard equipment includes multimedia keys and an aluminum volume roller.
The keyboard is already available for order. The authors of the press release dedicated to its release advise you to find out the price on the Corsair website or from your local representative of the company.
