The big news this year are the pavilions dedicated to the professional channel of Cosmo Hair Nail & Beauty Salon That they will be open for 4 days from Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th March. «This year too, it confirms itself as a global reference event for suppliers, producers, brand owners, buyers, distributors, retailers and operators interested in new solutions for the development of their activities», underlines Gianpiero Calzolari, President of BolognaFiere.
58% of exhibitors come from Europe, 42% from non-European countries. Compared to 2023, new exhibitors represent 35% of the total. The international nature of the event is confirmed by the presence of 30 national pavilions, which will bring the best of the production of Australia, Brazil, China, Korea, France, Germany, Japan, Greece, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Latvia, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, UK, Taiwan Region, Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey, USA. This year's new arrivals are Estonia, Norway, Pacific Islands, Palestine and Singapore. The positive results in terms of exhibition offer also influence visitor registrations and online sales of entrance tickets. For the 2024 edition, from September to today, the Cosmoprof site has recorded over 1.7 million views from approximately 217 countries and dependencies around the world. Compared to the last edition, an increase in traffic of +204% in terms of users and +32% in terms of registrations on the site was recorded, also thanks to the promotional campaigns activated in recent months on the main digital channels.
The data of the event's official social profiles is also constantly growing, which to date has a total of over 400,000 followers. For the 2024 edition, online ticketing was activated earlier than previous editions, a strategy that has proven to be successful, with significant growth compared to 2023, especially in registrations by international operators. To date, over 110 countries of origin of visitors have already registered for the event. The collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and with ICE – Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies fwill facilitate the participation of over 90 delegations with the most important importers, distributors and retailers from all over the world.
The decision to review the event dates is motivated by changes in the habits of operators in the sector. The opening of all pavilions on Thursday will facilitate contacts between companies and international operators through all distribution channels. A big change is the fact that the fair will be closed on Mondays, reflecting the transformations in the professional channel: Monday is in fact a working day for most professional salons. Salon owners and beauty center operators will finally have the opportunity to visit the fair on the days most dedicated to business, Thursday and Friday. Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna will be able to count on the collaboration with Cosmetica Italia – National association of cosmetic companies. The support of national trade associations, such as CNA – National Confederation of Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises, Confartigianato and Camera Italiana dell'Acconciatura, will be fundamental for the involvement of beauticians and hairdressers. Thanks to initiatives in partnership with industry associations and media partners, the incoming activities of Italian operators will be encouraged, in particular distributors for professional channels and the main perfumery chains.
