Costa Rican Foreign Minister Arnoldo André Tinoco said on Tuesday (30) that the country’s government was prepared to grant political asylum to Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado and presidential candidate Edmundo González.
“Costa Rica grants political asylum to María Corina Machado and Edmundo González, as well as to people suffering political persecution in Venezuela, especially those who are under the protection of the Argentine Embassy in Caracas,” the minister said in a video published on X.
