The processor costs 470 euros, which roughly corresponds to the current and recommended price for the Core i9-10900K.
One would think that in the end the CPU would be cheaper, since there is still a month before the official start of sales, but new data suggests that perhaps 470 euros is Intel’s recommended price.
So, the American company Milwaukeepc began accepting pre-orders for Rocket Lake processors, at the same time revealing prices for the entire line.
In particular, they ask for $ 485 for the Core i7-11700K. That is, the prices are almost identical (if you omit another currency, which is what often happens). But the top-end Core i9-11900K already costs $ 600, that is, more than $ 100 more than its predecessor. True, it is also worth noting that in this particular store the Core i9-10900K costs the same $ 600, which is more than in many other stores today.
It is possible that in this case the prices for new items are also overstated due to the fact that there is still a month before the start of sales. But the coincidence of prices may mean that the new Intel CPUs will indeed be more expensive than the old ones. And although the new architecture will certainly make them faster, the top model of the new generation still has two cores less than the current flagship.
