The Regional Council of Medicine of Mato Grosso (CRM-MT) opened investigation to investigate the conduct of doctor Bruno Felisberto do Nascimento Triiello, 29, suspected of involvement in the death of 15-year-old Ketlhn Vitória de Souza, shot in the head in Guarantã do Norte, a municipality 721 km from Cuiabá. The girl was his girlfriend.
According to CRM-MT, only after the completion of the inquiry will the opening, or not, of an ethical process against the professional.
Case
The crime occurred at dawn on May 3. The girl was even taken by the doctor to a hospital.
After the girl’s death was found, after about 40 minutes of resuscitation attempts, her boyfriend would have tried to damage hospital furniture such as window and door. The Official Expertise and Technical Identification (Politec) was called to perform the necropsy exam.
Bruno Felisberto was arrested preventively on the afternoon of May 5. Police said he confessed to being the author of the shooting.
In testimony, the doctor reported being in the car with Ketlhyn, coming back from a walk, when both, under the influence of alcohol, stopped the vehicle. According to him, the teenager asked to drive and sat on her lap. At this point, according to his statement, he took the gun believing he was dismissed (“unloaded”) and there was the accidental shooting.
The doctor’s defense claimed that the event “was an accident” and that Bruno “thought of killing herself after what happened.”
According to the lawyer, the practice of displaying the weapon was common among the “youth.” He mentioned that, the other day, Bruno fired three or four shots up during a “joke,” which would have led him to believe that the gun was unloaded at the time of the girlfriend.
The defense also stated that Bruno and his girlfriend had plans to get married and that the young woman’s family was according to the relationship, describing them as a “normal couple.”
