The councilman of Guarujá (SP) Santiago dos Santos Angelo (Progressives) presented this week a bill that aims to offer psychosocial care to “fathers and mothers” of babies Reborn.
The proposal was filed last Tuesday (20) and should be considered by the health and hygiene committees, finance and budget and justice and writing. If approved by these instances, it will be subjected to a vote in plenary.
According to the councilman, the measure aims to “offer psychosocial support to people who use Reborn babies as emotional support in difficult times such as mourning, anxiety and loneliness.”
On the same day, the parliamentarian presented another bill whose purpose is to prohibit the use of Reborn babies “or any objects that simulate real babies to obtain benefits, rights or privileges legally guaranteed to children”, such as preferred care, priority in queues and obtaining gratuities or discounts.
In case of non -compliance, the project provides for warning and, in case of recurrence, fine.
“Baby Reborn is a toy and can not be entitled to a real child,” said the councilman, through a video published on his social networks.
