Mykhailo Podoliak, a top adviser to Ukraine’s president, has urged Germany to keep its nuclear plants operating as Russia continues to cut gas flows to Europe, according to Bloomberg, citing Germany’s Tagesspiegel.
“We urgently need to use everything we have to create a new energy map for Europe as soon as possible to stop funding Russia’s war,” Podoliak said in an interview today
He addressed his remarks to Germany’s Green party, which has led the movement to exit nuclear power and has largely opposed proposals to delay the plan to ease the energy crisis.
