US President-elect Donald Trump said Thursday that his team has begun preparing a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to “end” the war in Ukraine. “He wants us to meet and we have started to organize it,” said Mr. Trump during a meeting with Republican state governors at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida. “President Putin wants us to meet, he has even said so publicly, and we must end this war (in Ukraine), which is a real nightmare,” added the tycoon.
