The couple, a 35 -year -old Colombian and a 40 -year -old Peruvian, traveled several states by practicing theft and acquiring goods using counterfeit money. After the investigation, the corporation indicated the pair for qualified theft crimes and false currency use. The penalty can reach 20 years in prison.
“The operation was supported by the Civil Police of São Paulo to comply with prison and seizure court orders,” added the delegate responsible for the investigation, Paulo Renato Fayão.
In just two days, the couple would have stolen about $ 50,000 in products and would even have bought a Bulova brand clock with false notes.
