La Soucoupe Courchevel

In addition to succulent grilled meats and a cozy interior environment complete with a central fireplace, the La Soucoupe It gives us breathtaking views of the mountains and ski slopes, which in itself is worth the climb with the lift.
Among the meat cuts there is Argentine entrecôte and rib, but the menu is still filled with an extensive variety of starters, such as carpaccio, jamón Ibérico, escargot and black truffle focaccia. Like any good French house, a selection of cheeses is also available, as well as wines and sparkling wines.

Bringing Mediterranean flavors to the heart of the mountains, the Baïes it opened last season in place of the old Nammos. The new venue reflects the excitement that its predecessor brought: DJs help raise the temperatures outside throughout the season, in which the attractions are announced by the profile from Instagram.
Situated at the bottom of the slopes and easily accessible by skiing, the day here is best spent at the tables outside when the temperatures are not so freezing, but the interior, entirely made of wood, also lives up to the alpine charm.
Menu options can range from cauliflower soup with lobster and truffle, through crayfish tartare with caviar to pasta, such as rigatoni with truffle and spaghetti with tomato sauce.

Le Chalet de Pierres
O Le Chalet de Pierres is already one of the best-known names in Courchevel. It is located on the edge of the slope and occupies what was once an old railway station, from where you can watch skiers descending the mountains and access it on foot, ski or car.
The restaurant with classic alpine decor has indoor and outdoor tables, ideal for enjoying seafood – which is displayed on a counter – or even premium cuts of meat and starters to share.
The generous menu, which also has vegetarian and vegan options, includes burrata, truffle pizza and baguette au gratin with cheese and mushrooms to start, but the specialties, with or without truffle, are fondue and tartiflette, the latter a Savoyard classic. with potatoes, cheese and onions. To top it off, the restaurant is known for its dessert buffet.

La Table des Airelle
Inside the five-star hotel Les Airelles in Courchevel 1850, the La Table des Airelles is a French restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in its elegant dining room. After our skiing adventure, lunch at the restaurant is a good option due to its true buffet-style feast.

Specialties include seafood, barbecue meats, crudo station, salads and hot dishes. It's not just any buffet, as the quality is impressive and the chefs prepare the orders in front of us. And leave room for dessert, as the sweets station is super complete.
On sunny days, the outdoor terrace with views of the snow-capped peaks is a perfect stop.

Cap Horn Courchevel
Oldest operating restaurant in Courchevel 1850, the Cap Horn It has a festive yet friendly atmosphere with maritime decor and a terrace overlooking the mountains. Accessible by ski or by car from the road, it is a good place not only for lunch, but also for après-ski, with music playing outside with the help of DJs.
Some employees even dress up as characters to serve tables, where we can find Jack Sparrow and even Mario Bros. In your hands can come sushi, nigiris, seafood trays and premium cuts of meat, such as black angus and wagyu, where the menu focuses on the balance between land and sea.
The wine list is not left behind and has more than 600 labels. To finish, there is a dessert buffet with sweets such as tarte tatin and waffles.

Le Mille Flavors

Next to Cap Horn – and part of the restaurant portfolio of the same group – is the Le Mille Flavors the only high-altitude Italian restaurant in Courchevel that offers a more intimate atmosphere with the same backdrop of snow-capped peaks.
The specialty is penne flambéed with cognac with parmigiano reggiano, but risotto with truffles, linguini alle vongole and truffled pizza are also on the menu. Both restaurants are close to Courchevel airfield.

La Cave des Creux

One of my favorite choices in Courchevel, the La Cave des Creux It is more than two thousand meters above sea level and was originally a cheese ripening cellar. Former young ski instructors decided to create the restaurant, which has regional Savoyard dishes on the menu along with fish and even Asian fusions.
Among the dishes are fondue with three cheeses; veal chop with truffle served with homemade truffle mashed potatoes; the angus entrecôte with your choice of side dishes; tuna tartar and veggie bowl. At the end, a dessert buffet seduces us with French sweets.
The panoramic views are surprising, as the terrace with fireplace – which has live music on certain days – overlooks the heart of Les Trois Vallées and Mont Blanc. Access is by skiing or a 40-minute walk on a path from the airport.

Starters to share, premium cuts of meat and fish are on the menu along with specialties such as potatoes stuffed with fried foie gras and truffle sauce; rigatoni with beef cheek confit with marjoram and chocolate pizzetta with caramelized hazelnuts.
As usual, the place is very lively and there are great DJs in the outdoor area, which also has blankets and heaters to relieve us from the intense cold.

Le Farçon
Situated in the La Tania ski area, the Le Farçon It holds a Michelin star and welcomes us with open doors at lunch and dinner with special menus that change seasonally. Despite the refinement, we can easily go in with ski boots.

Captained by the chef Julian Machet the restaurant offers us surprise menus of three, four or six steps at lunch (at dinner the number increases to nine steps) made up of regional ingredients that reflect the best of Savoyard culture and the vegetables and meats available. Spoiler: one of the best dishes I ate was pork served with brioche and endive.
And don't think that children don't have a place here: the chef makes a point of preparing kids' options, where the dishes are designed to follow the culinary journey of the parents.
