The São Paulo Court closed the investigation into the helicopter crash that killed the pilot and three passengers, in Paraibuna, in the interior of São Paulo, on December 31 last year.
The information was confirmed by the Public Ministry of São Paulo (MPSP), which had already expressed itself in the process pointing out that there was no evidence of a crime in the incident.
The helicopter, a Robinson R44 manufactured in 2001, took off in the early afternoon of December 31st from Campo de Marte airport, in the north of São Paulo, and was going to Ilhabela, on the north coast of the state, but did not reach its destination.
The aircraft was missing for 12 days, being located by the Military Police Aviation Command in a dense forest region, in Paraibuna, in the interior of São Paulo.
The helicopter with prefix PR-HDB was piloted by Cassiano Tete Teodoro, 44 years old. In addition to him, businessman Raphael Torres, 41, businesswoman Luciana Marley Rodzewics Santos, 46, and her daughter, Letícia Ayumi Rodzewics Sakumoto, 20, were on the flight.
The Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa), of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), maintains the status of the occurrence as active, but emphasizes that “investigations are limited to indicating possible contributing factors that allow elucidating any technical issues related to the aeronautical occurrence.
