The young men were charged with manslaughter and bodily harm while driving a motor vehicle and arrested red-handed after the accident.
At km 40 of the highway, in the Cajamar region, Antonio Tomé was driving an Audi and Gabriel Elias, a Subaru. The vehicles are valued at more than R$200,000. In the passenger seat of the Subaru, was Gustavo Henrique Buchholz Toffani, 25 years old, who was treated at Hospital São Vicente, in Jundiaí, but did not survive his injuries.
Two other Audi vehicles and a Porsche were also involved in the accident. According to the police report, the vehicles were traveling at high speed, around 130 km/h, and collided after an attempt to overtake.
