The Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories ordered, on the 9th, the blocking of the bank accounts of singer Pabllo Vittar for the payment of a debt related to the purchase of property in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais.
According to data from the lawsuit, the purchase took place in 2017. The case has been in court since 2018, but the artist’s defense stated that she had never been cited in this process.
The 11th Civil Court of Brasília issued the order to block the accounts or investment funds that were in the artist’s name due to lack of payment.
In the decision of judge Ernane Fidelis Filho, there is information that the amount due for the purchase of the apartment was found in the artist’s accounts, about R$ 140 thousand.
THE CNN contacted the singer’s press office, who informed that the legal team took action and reiterated that the artist “was never mentioned in this process” and hopes that the case will be reversed in court.
“The artist Pabllo Vittar was never mentioned in this process, having become aware of this demand only when there was a judicial blocking of her checking account”, says the note.
“As soon as it became aware of the situation, its legal team took the necessary measures and hopes to reverse this decision soon, since there was a complete restriction of the right to due process, ample defense and contradictory. This is a big mistake that the Court hopes to reverse,” concludes the statement from the legal department of Pabllo Vittar’s team.
