The Court of Justice of the State of São Paulo (TJ-SP) granted a protective measure in favor of nutritionist Betina Grusiecki against federal deputy Carlos Alberto da Cunha (PP-SP).
Grusiecki says she was attacked by Da Cunha in the apartment where they lived in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo.
The deputy cannot be less than 300 meters from the nutritionist. He will also not be able to have contact with her and witnesses through any means of communication, and must stay away from the apartment where he lived — the parliamentarian must arrange for a third person to remove his personal items from the place.
The measures are valid for a period of 90 days and, if necessary, Grusiecki may request an extension of the measures. In case of non-compliance, the deputy may be arrested.
Incident report
In a police report, carried out on the 15th, the nutritionist accuses the parliamentarian of bodily harm, threats, insults and domestic violence. She was contacted by the report, but did not return contact.
Da Cunha denies the accusations and said, in a statement, that the discussion took place “in the midst of celebrating his birthday”. “But at no point did any type of physical violence occur on his part.”
According to the police report, after consuming alcoholic beverages, Da Cunha began an argument with the woman. During the fight, he allegedly called her “p*** and rubbish”, stating that she was “good for nothing”.
