The São Paulo Court of Justice (TJSP) revoked the decision to seize the passport of Roseli Dorth, businesswoman and partner of fitness influencer Renato Cariani.
The decision was made by judge Marcos Correa, from the 6th Criminal Chamber, who considered the seizure of the document illegal.
According to an operation carried out by the Federal Police (PF) at the end of last year, Roseli and Cariani are co-owners of the company Anidrol Produtos para Laboratórios, which allegedly supplied chemical inputs for drug trafficking and concealed these sales in invoices.
During the process investigating the case, the Court ordered the seizure of the businesswoman's passport at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office (MP). However, Roseli's defense filed a Habeas Corpus request to overturn the decision.
The defense claimed that the Court did not need to impose any restrictive measure on the businesswoman during the process, considering that Roseli has always collaborated and still collaborates with the investigations. Therefore, according to the lawyer, there are no reasons to justify the seizure of the document.
In the decision this Wednesday (24) obtained by CNN , the judge accepted the defense's arguments and determined that the passport should not be seized. However, if Roseli needs to travel abroad, he must notify the Court at least 15 days in advance.
Cariani also managed to get his passport released .
