Covid-19, all the rules in force: quarantines, masks and Green Pass

In recent weeks, new measures have arrived to counter the pandemic and in particular the advancement of the Omicron variant. The latest decree enters into force on the last day of 2021 and changes the quarantine rules. From 10 January the use of the reinforced Green Pass is extended. Here are the measures and dates they are active.

Masks

They are mandatory throughout Italy, even outdoors. In closed places such as cinemas, theaters and concert halls, the Ffp2 which must also be used on all means of transport, long-distance and local ones.

Quarantines

From January 31, in case of contact with a positive asymptomatic, the vaccinated with three doses, the recovered and those who have taken the second dose, in both cases for less than 120 days, must not quarantine. For these categories there is theautosorveglianza: obligation to wear the Ffp2 mask for ten days from contact and rapid or molecular antigen test after 5 days from contact.

Those vaccinated for more than four months have to do 5 days of quarantine, the unvaccinated 10. Everyone needs the negative swab at the exit.

I contacts close are the cohabitants, those who have had direct physical contact such as a handshake, those who have been for more than 15 minutes in an enclosed space less than 2 meters away. Applies to those who have made nearby trips by train, plane or car.

For i positive the quarantine is ten days and the swab, molecular or antigenic, negative at the end is needed. For symptomatic patients, the test must be done after at least 3 days without symptoms.

Green Pass

Until March 31, the end of the state of emergency, the reinforced Green Pass is required (with vaccination or recovery, not with a tampon) for restaurants and bars indoors also for counter service. It is also necessary to have it for cinema and theater, in sports halls and at the stadium. It is used for parties in public places and to attend training courses in presence.

Starting from January 10th and always until March 31st it is used for all means of transport. Also for outdoor tables in restaurants, hotels and in all accommodation facilities, for weddings and other parties, for museums and libraries, gyms, swimming pools also outdoors, for team sports and contact even outdoors and on the ski lifts in the mountains. It is used for wellness centers and spas, excluding essential therapy and rehabilitation services, for cultural, social and recreational centers, for theme parks, game rooms, bingo halls and casinos, for festivals and fairs, for congresses.

To enter you need, from December 30th, to have the third dose or a negative buffer in addition to the two doses or healing.

Parties and discos

Until 31 January 2022 the discos and all events involving gatherings even outdoors are prohibited. Also at home it is recommended to avoid gatherings.

Vaccination obligation

There is an obligation to vaccinate for health personnel, for school personnel, for the police and for external workers of the RSA. A meeting is scheduled for January 5 to broaden the use of the reinforced Green Pass for new categories of workers. No agreement has been found so far for the categories to be included. For the job, the basic Green Pass is enough for now. For those who do not present it after five days of absence, there is suspension from functions and salary, but not dismissal or other disciplinary measures.

Capacity

For indoor sports facilities the capacity is 35%, 50% indoors.

Durata Green Pass

From 1 February, the duration of the green certificate will go from 9 to 6 months.

Third dose

The recall is available for all people over 16 and for people in frail conditions between 12 and 15 years. From 10, the interval between the second and third dose can pass to four months. A decision should come shortly for the under 16s because there is no third dose authorization for them yet, but many have the certificate expiring.
