Data are from the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass). With the update, the country has a total of 614,186 deaths and 22,076,863 confirmed infections since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.

The Ômicron variant of the new coronavirus, classified as a variant of concern by the World Health Organization (WHO), has been extensively monitored by genomic virus surveillance systems in several countries.
