Covid-19 in the United Kingdom: 1,325 deaths in 24 hours, a record figure

 

The United Kingdom recorded 1,325 additional deaths from Covid-19 on Friday, January 8. This is a record since the start of the pandemic. The total toll is now 79,833 deaths within 28 days of a positive test. The number of contaminations identified in 24 hours also reached a record at more than 68,000 cases, bringing the total of people tested positive in the United Kingdom to 2,957,472, according to the Department of Health.
