Covid-19: know if you have booster doses to receive

The Ministry of Health warned, on Friday (11), that more than 69 million Brazilians have not received the first booster shot of vaccines against Covid-19. In relation to the second booster dose, 32.8 million eligible people did not return to health centers for immunization.

Public health experts point out that booster doses are necessary to restore immunity and protection against the disease, which tends to decrease over time.

The introduction of a new subvariant of the coronavirus, BQ.1, which is more transmissible, may be behind the increase in the number of infections in the country. Vaccination with booster doses helps to reduce the incidence of the disease and the risk of severe cases and deaths.

In Brazil, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Janssen and Coronavac vaccines are applied against Covid-19. The primary vaccination schedule is two doses for most immunizers.

The application of booster doses is based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Health, considering aspects such as age and health condition.

Take the test and check how many booster shots you can already receive according to the guidelines of the Ministry.
