The Ministry of Health reported, this Saturday (20), that 12.5 million of doses of the most updated version of the vaccine against Covid-19 should be available to the population in the next 15 days.
Last Friday (19), the department signed a contract with the company that won the purchasing process organized by Saúde itself. According to the ministry, this is the first time there has been a dispute between competing companies for the supply of immunizers.
“After this stage, the forecast is that the doses will be distributed to the states within an interval of ten to twelve days”, stated the ministry in a note.
Also according to the ministry, “the purchasing process respected the analysis of resources and counter-reasons presented by the companies that participated in the bidding”.
“The entire purchasing process was publicized through the Comprasnet System and there was a saving of R$ 100 million, given the difference in prices between the two proposals presented”, added the ministry.
