Covid-19, the red zone and the orange zone return: what can be done and what not

To contain the race of infections and strengthen the effects of the current vaccination campaign, the Draghi government has approved a new squeeze which, from Monday 15 March to 6 April, will ensure that the regions that register a weekly number of Covid-19 positive cases exceeding 250 per 100 thousand inhabitants will automatically pass into the red zone. Not only that: from March 15th, in all yellow regions the measures foreseen for the orange zone will be applied. The exception, as happened for Christmas, will be at Easter: from 3 to 5 April, in fact, all of Italy will be in the red zone and, therefore, in lockdown.

But what can be done in the red areas (then, in the autonomous provinces of Trento, in Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Marche, Puglia, Campania and Molise) and in the orange areas (all the others except for Sardinia, which is white) until at least March 27? RED AREA
In the red zone it is not possible to leave one’s home except for proven work needs or situations of necessity, or for health reasons.

SELF-CERTIFICATION
To be able to leave your home in any time slot it will again be necessary to show a self-certification downloadable from the website of the Ministry of the Interior.

VISITS TO RELATIVES AND FRIENDS
They are not allowed, unless they are non self-sufficient people who need help or assistance. The ban on visits falls, however, during the Easter period: from 3 to 5 April it will be possible to move within one’s own region to a single private home, once a day, for a maximum of two people “.

SHOPS
Retail stores will be closed, except for food and basic necessities. Markets, clothing, footwear and jewelry stores as well as personal services such as hairdressers, barbers and beauty centers are closed. Hypermarkets, supermarkets, discount stores remain open, as well as newsstands, tobacconists, bookstores, pharmacies and parapharmacies, computer stores, electronics, household appliances, hardware stores, petrol stations, linen and clothing stores. toys, nurseries.

BARS AND RESTAURANTS
It will not be possible to provide table service in bars and restaurants. However, only catering with home delivery or takeaway remains allowed until 10 pm (with a ban on consumption in the adjacent areas). Takeaway is allowed until 6 pm from bars and until 10 pm for wine bars and wineries.

THE SCHOOL
The suspension of the activity in presence in schools is total for all regions within the red zone. The measure encompasses all levels and levels, including nursery schools, kindergartens and elementary schools. The possibility of carrying out face-to-face activities remains guaranteed only for pupils with disabilities and special educational needs.

MOTOR ACTIVITY
It is possible to do physical activity (therefore walk) near your home respecting the distance of at least one meter from any other person and with the obligation to use the mask. It is allowed to carry out sporting activities exclusively outdoors and individually. Gyms and swimming pools remain closed. The parks, unless there are regional or municipal restrictive ordinances, will remain open.

ORANGE AREA
From March 15 to April 2 and on April 6 all the yellow regions pass into the orange band, while on Easter days all of Italy will be red, and therefore in lockdown.

MOVEMENTS
In the orange regions, travel is free in your municipality (apart from the curfew time slot from 10pm to 5am). Movements outside the Municipality must be motivated by proven work needs or situations of necessity, or health reasons. Self-certification is therefore required, which can be downloaded from the website of the Ministry of the Interior. In any case, movements from municipalities with a population not exceeding five thousand inhabitants and for a distance not exceeding thirty kilometers from the relative borders are allowed, with the exclusion in any case of movements to the provincial capitals.

VISITS TO FRIENDS AND RELATIVES
It is allowed, in the municipal area, to move to a single inhabited private house, once a day, in a period of time between 5 and 22 (maximum people with two children under 14). In the three public holidays from Easter Eve to Easter Monday (3, 4 and 5 April), travel to visit relatives or friends is allowed within the region.

SHOPS
The shops are all open, including hairdressers, barbers and beauty salons. Shopping centers are closed on weekends. On the other hand, gyms, swimming pools, theaters and cinemas remain closed.

SCHOOLS
Elementary and middle schools remain in attendance, while high schools remain in attendance at least 50% up to a maximum of 75%. In territories with a high incidence of contagion (over 250 new positives per 100 thousand inhabitants), with high circulation of variants and worsening of the epidemiological picture, the presidents of the region can, however, adopt restrictive measures, extending the dad.

BARS AND RESTAURANTS
For bars and restaurants the same rules apply as in the red zone: no table service. End at 10pm only catering with home delivery or takeaway is allowed (with prohibition of consumption in the adjacent areas). Takeaway is allowed until 6pm from bars and until 10pm from wine bars and wineries.

SPORT
Sports or motor activities can be carried out outdoors, even in picnic areas and public parks. Also in clubs and outdoor sports centers. The gyms and swimming pools are closed.
