Covid-19: What changes tomorrow in Italian schools

Immediate return to class for those recovered and vaccinated from Covid-19. The Ministry of Education has specified that the new rules that limit distance learning for schools are retroactive and therefore also apply to those who are already doing dad and quarantine. The quarantine should therefore be automatically halved from 10 to 5 days and there should be no remote teaching for vaccinated and recovered, even if they are currently at home. This is the ministerial indication, but not all schools are ready to put it into practice immediately, some have already let parents know that they will not let students return to the classroom without the green light of the ASL and that they have taken care of children and young people .

According to the new rules, distance teaching must be reduced as much as possible. The government’s guideline for schools is this and from Monday it will apply, with new rules, in Italian schools. The vaccinated will no longer go into cubes which will be halved, from 10 to 5 days, for the unvaccinated.

Nursery school

The children, who are in the range of not yet vaccinated, remain at home no longer with a single positive case, but with five. AND they only stay there for 5 days, no longer for ten. Up to four cases of ascertained positivity remain in the presence “with the use of respiratory protection devices of the Ffp2 type by teachers until the tenth day following the knowledge of the last confirmed positive case for COVID-19”.

Primary School

Distance learning is only for the unvaccinated. For the vaccinated there is only self-surveillance. You no longer go into dad for 10 days per second positive with quarantine for all. Now up to four positive cases we remain in presence with Ffp2 mask for all for ten days. There is self-monitoring, but swabs should be taken when symptoms appear.

In the fifth positive case the part of the class vaccinated with double dose remains in the presence, bringing Ffp2 masks for 10 days, and the other goes into distance learning for 5 days remaining in quarantine. This ends up with a negative buffer after the 5 days it takes to return. For the next 5 days, the Ffp2 mask must be worn. There is a suspension of activities if “the ascertainment of the fifth positive case occurs within five days from the ascertainment of the previous case”.

Middle and High Schools

You remain in presence if you are vaccinated from the two positive cases up when the others go to distance learning. The pupils who have completed the vaccination cycle for less than 120 days or who have recovered from the same time remain in school, as well as those who have received the third dose who have the Green Pass for now without expiry. The students in the classroom must wear the Ffp2 mask for ten days. The others stay at home for 5 days. To re-enter you just need the negative pad. So far from the third case all ended up in dad without distinction between vaccinated and unvaccinated.

Swabs

DIY is good for everyone. THE tampons which can also be bought at the supermarket can be used for kindergartens and elementary schools. These buffers are also valid in case of symptoms such as antigenic and molecular. If the result is negative, self-certification is enough to return to class.
