Brazil recorded this Tuesday (11) 70,765 cases of Covid-19, more than double the number on Monday (34,788).
As a result, the moving average considering the last 7 days also grew and reached 43,660, the highest level since July 29, 2021, when the country had 45,094 cases.
The number of deaths, however, grew proportionately less: it went from 110 on Monday to 147 on Tuesday – leaving a moving average of 122 cases (considering the last seven days).
New restrictions in São Paulo
The Health Committee and the Secretary of Health of the state of São Paulo, Jean Gorinchteyn, met this Tuesday (11) to study new restrictions against Covid-19.
According to information obtained by the reporter of the CNN Bruna Macedo, the committee should announce new guidelines for the events sector. The forecast is that they will meet as early as this Wednesday (12) with Governor João Doria (PSDB) to define the guidelines. Read more.
Minister’s Assurances
In an interview with CNN This Tuesday (11), the Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, guaranteed that there will be no delays in the delivery of doses of vaccine intended for the immunization of children against Covid-19. Read more.
