On the same occasion, the FS Italiane Group showed the Health Train: a convoy with carriages equipped with specific medical equipment, including those necessary for intensive care. The train, which in 8 carriages can accommodate up to 21 patients and 45 health workers, will be able to serve comand emergency solution in the event that – as is often the case due to the pandemic – hospitals need additional beds, and it will also be used as needed to transport patients from one area of ​​Italy to another or abroad. It was born from the collaboration between the FS Italiane Group, the Civil Protection Department and the Regional Emergency Emergency Agency of Lombardy (AREU) and, as Gianfranco Battisti himself explained “There is no other example like this”.
