Covid: the rules from May for the Green Pass and masks

The Green Pass He goes away. From Sunday 1 May it will no longer be needed to enter the premises. The only exception is for those who exercise “the health professions of workers in hospitals and RSAs”. There green certification it will remain as proof of vaccination or recovery, but will no longer be mandatory in all places where it was needed.

The masks remain indoors (Ffp2), at least until June 15th, on board public transport (as in many foreign countries), for shows, then in cinemas and theaters, and for indoor sporting events. The Chamber’s Social Affairs Committee approved the government’s amendment to the Reopening decree which was included in an ordinance by Health Minister Roberto Speranza.

Transport

A mask must be worn until June 15th on means of transport: both long-distance ones (trains, airplanes and ships) and local ones (metro, bus, tram).

Cinemas and sports halls

For the shows that take place indoors there is the obligation to wear a mask. They are theaters, concert halls, cinemas, live music venues. The same goes for events and competitions sports indoors.

School

Masks were already expected to remain mandatory until the end of lessons.

Rsa and hospitals

The mask is needed for workers, users and visitors of the health facilitiessocial-health and social-assistance: long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospices, rehabilitation facilities and residential facilities for the elderly.

The travels

With a new ordinance, Minister Speranza changed the travel rules by eliminating the Passenger Locator Formthe tracking form used by the health authorities that all travelers arriving in our country were required to fill out.

Workplaces

There are no specific rules, but recommendations. There will be no obligation unless established by a corporate agreement for both public and private workplaces. For private individuals, employees should maintain protection in crowded places such as supermarkets, shopping centers, companies where it is not possible to maintain the distance.

In the public offices it is recommended to wear the FFP2 mask even after May 1st. The circular specifies the circumstances in which it would be better for it to be worn: by staff who are in contact with the public without other protective barriers, by staff in common rooms, for face-to-face meetings, in rows, in elevators.
