Craig Wright: Satoshi Nakamoto Doesn’t Consider Bitcoin a Cryptocurrency

An Australian programmer and entrepreneur who is known to the crypto community as “the self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto” published an old letter from the creator of BTC stating that Bitcoin is not a cryptocurrency.

Craig Wright, who repeats that he anonymously created the world’s first cryptocurrency, insists that a letter from Satoshi is actually a letter from Wright to himself.

“Bitcoin protocol was born to create a stable system. Bitcoin is not a cryptocurrency. By definition, cryptocurrencies are anonymous and untraceable. Bitcoin is pseudonymous and traceable, it is digital cash,” the letter allegedly says.

In February, it became known about the results of a lawsuit where Wright lost a case related to alleged infringement of his copyright in a digital asset. However, the entrepreneur continues to insist that he is the author of the White Paper of Bitcoin, and therefore, is the same anonymous developer under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto.

The entrepreneur likes to remind himself in the media space. He recently claimed that Apple is violating his copyright on the main document of the first cryptocurrency. Then, in the depths of the macOS operating system, a PDF file of the original White Paper of Bitcoin was discovered.
