The Presidente Dutra highway, the main connection between the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, had its traffic interrupted since the night of Thursday (6) after some cracks turned into a crater, making it impossible for cars to pass.
The hole appeared on the marginal road, on the right, at km 214 towards São Paulo, in a region with properties close by.
According to the Federal Highway Police, drivers who need to use the lane will have to take the express lane starting at km 211, after the Sakamoto gas station, returning to the side lane at km 215, in Cumbica.
Some properties in the region around the stretch where the crater is may have been affected. The damage is being assessed by the Civil Defense and the buildings may be vacated due to the hole in the structure.
The Nova Dutra concessionaire said that there is still no forecast for the release of the stretch.
