Crime of Giulia Tramontano, the killer reveals: “I went around with the body in the car”

Alessandro Impagnetiello, the thirty-year-old barman who killed his girlfriend Giulia Tramontano seven months pregnant, he is in prison. And from his confessions, new details are constantly leaking that tell more and more of a horror movie crime. Giulia, 29, had discovered that Impagnetiello he was cheating on her with the 23-year-old Merry (both became pregnant, but the second had decided to terminate the pregnancy). And she met her death on Saturday 27 May, returning home to Senago, right after a meeting with her rival in love. She too was deceived: Alessandro had told her that with Giulia she was over for some time. When they met, the two girls had revealed the enormous castle of lies of the “narcissus and manipulative” barman and had allied against him. That was the beginning of the end. Because just as the meeting was in progress, Alessandro began frantic searches on the Internet to understand “how to remove burnt stains from the bathtub”. A sign for the investigators that already at that moment he had decided to kill Giulia.

The account of the massacre provided to the investigators by Impagnatiello, it begins with the arrival at the house of his fiancée, who confronts him with his infidelity: «The conversation did not last long and a chill set in between me and her. After that I ate a piadina, Giulia went to the kitchen to prepare dinner and she started cutting some tomatoes ». So, the killer puts it in the record, Giulia «with the knife she was using for the tomatoes she started to get cuts on her arms, I tried to get closer but she told me that she no longer wanted to live. She had already inflicted a few blows on her neck and I, in order not to make her suffer, I hit her another three or four times”. Those who have collected this version have not noticed cracks in the killer’s voice: “She was exhausted on the ground and I told her that she was over and that she had to rest”. No mention of his son Thiago who would have been born in July. No remorse. But a contradiction here too, when magistrates and carabinieri ask what Giulia had done seeing the knife in the hands of the arrested man: «she tried to defend herself by moving and wriggling».

Giulia dies there, in front of the sofa in the living room: «I was confused and foggy. I dragged her body into the bathroom and put it in the tub and there I realized I had killed her. At that point I wanted to somehow get rid of the corpse. There was rubbing alcohol and I set it on fire». The attempt fails, he takes her to the garage «with part of the clothes already burnt, it took me a while because I took some breaks» and takes care to clean the blood off the path «with microfiber cloths, paper and water». Then he goes to Allegra in Milan, tells her that «Giulia is no longer here, in the sense that it is no longer an obstacle to living a relationship with her”. At half past three in the morning she is back in Senago, she stops at a petrol station and fills a bottle with petrol. «I pour it on Giulia’s body, but also in this case I failed to make it ash and around 5 in the morning I decide to put out the flames». At seven on Sunday morning Alessandro goes to work and leaves the body in the garage. On Tuesday he loads it into the car, where he stays until Wednesday night when he gets rid of it. «I still used the car driving around with the body in the trunk», he is keen to clarify.

Giulia’s body was found Wednesday night in a cavity less than two kilometers from the house. Now Impagnatiello is in prison, accused of voluntary homicide aggravated by premeditation, but also by futile motives and cruelty, of concealment of a corpse and abortion without consent.
