Cristina Scuccia, former Sister Cristina: “The right man will come”

“Since our last meeting, something has moved inside me,” Cristina told Silvia Toffanin. “I wanted to try, get involved. Some of my collaborators proposed a song to me and I decided to jump on it, since it talks about happiness, a concept I’ve always loved but haven’t always put into practice». In fact, during the interview, Scuccia said she had never been really happy in her life with her: “I’m never satisfied, there’s always something that drives me to do more, not to mention that I continue to have a great fixation on others». Then a reflection on the choice that revolutionized her life: stop being a nun to resume a normal life. «It was a difficult moment, asking myself whether to leave or stay: in that instant self-esteem slowly falls into the ground because you tell yourself you worked so hard. The important thing to remember, though, is that ending religious life does not always mean failure”.

“Since I spoke, many religious have written to me: leaving is more tiring than embarking on the journey, it is not an easy step. When you have to separate from a strong community like the one I had with my sisters it is an immense pain, you think you will disappoint your mother», added Cristina Scuccia explaining that fortunately she has not encountered the disappointment of anyone in her family, least of all her mother , who “is sending me his love regardless of my choices”. And so, while she for the moment decides not to confirm and not to deny her participation in the next edition of theIsland of the Famous, Cristina reflects one last time on the love that could knock on her door: “It happens that men have approached, but the truth is that this is my time, and I think it’s important to enjoy it.
