Critics Choice Awards takes place this Sunday (12); Fernanda Torres running?

Continuing the awards season, the Critics Choice Awards are scheduled for this Sunday (12) . The event is organized by the largest critics association in the USA and Canada and will choose the best titles of 2024.

“Conclave” and “Wicked” led the nominations with 11 mentions each. Brazil is competing with “I’m Still Here” which was remembered in the Best Foreign Film category. Awarded last Sunday (5), Fernanda Torres, however, is not competing for the Best Actress award.

In Hollywood, the Brazilian’s next opportunity is at the Oscars, the highest film award in the United States. The nominees will be announced on January 17th, and Torres is a strong candidate for a spot in the female acting category.

In Brazil, the Critics Choice Awards will be broadcast on TNT and Max on January 12th at 9pm. In addition to rewarding cinema, the ceremony also recognizes television productions.
