Major market maker DWF Labs has cut ties with an unnamed partner accused of inappropriate behavior during a corporate event in Hong Kong.

DWF Labs made this decision after a venture capitalist named Hana complained that a DWF Labs partner tried to put something in her drink on October 24th. She said he approached her at an event under the pretext of discussing job opportunities, calling her the “perfect candidate” for the project.

According to Hana, this man tried to lure her to his hotel, in return promising to share “insider information.” After receiving CCTV footage from the bar, Hana filed a report with the Hong Kong police. Although law enforcement is still investigating the incident, DWF Labs has decided to immediately terminate the partner’s management position. However, neither DWF Labs nor the alleged victim made his identity public.

According to the Wall Street Journal, in May, cryptocurrency exchange Binance fired the head of its investigations department, which exposed market manipulation by DWF Labs. The top manager alleged that the market maker was implementing pump and dump schemes and was also engaged in fictitious trading.
