The development of the Wallet wallet integrated into Telegram is the company Open Platform (TOP). Its leader is the former head of VKontakte Andrei Rogozov, in the TOP team he began working in 2022. According to him, the update that has begun will make Wallet in Telegram a full cryptocurrency platform.
The team’s announcement says that after the Wallet update it will become a “completely new wallet”: an interface will be updated in it, a number of cryptocurrencies will be added and constant rewards will be introduced to the Native cryptocurrency of the Toncoin (Ton) Native cryptocurrency, as well as USDT stablecoin.
The new interface involves the addition of a new lower navigation panel that simplifies switching between sections. Among the cryptocurrencies that appear – Ethereum (ETH), XRP (XRP), Dogecoin (DOGE) and PEPE (PEPE).
The TRADE section (“trade”) will allow you to buy, sell and store bitcoin, USDT (on the Ton blockchain) and Toncoin, as well as a number of cryptocurrencies that will be added. For transactions, it is not necessary to directly introduce cryptocurrency or pay for commissions (gas) to Ton. The TOP team explains this approach by the account of a less experienced audience.
The TRADE section is currently not implied by the entry or withdrawal of assets from other wallets, only the purchase, storage and sale within the service.
According to the announcement, the Wallet Earn service will become a constant function of the wallet, it will be charged with Ton tokens rewards. Earnings are accrued daily and automatically added to user balance. The platform team said this option is already available to most users.
You can withdraw cryptocurrencies from the Wallet Earn service or replenish the balance at any time without a commission. In the future, the EARN section promises to expand at the expense of a similar sentence for Stablecoin USDT and other limited shares.
