Crypto Enthusiast Analyzes Creators of 5 Major Cryptocurrencies

Everything that happens in the cryptocurrency industry often looks like a script for a dramatic film, especially when it comes to the creators of the largest cryptocurrencies.

A well-known influencer in the crypto community under the nickname The Solstice on X (formerly Twitter) presented A fun but concise look at the founding fathers of the top 5 cryptocurrencies.

Cryptocurrency Creators: What’s Happening to Them?

The Solstice started with Bitcoin (BTC), the number one cryptocurrency by market capitalization. Its creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, disappeared from the public eye immediately after the asset’s launch. Many have tried to figure out who is behind the pseudonym, but Nakamoto remains a mystery.

Satoshi left the project in 2011, entrusting the future of Bitcoin to other developers. This only complicated the identification of his identity and gave rise to an endless number of conspiracy theories. For example, some believe that BTC was created by Russian President Vladimir Putin, while others believe that the US government is behind the development.

Meanwhile, Ethereum (ETH) creator Vitalik Buterin has become the subject of gossip regarding his private life. There are currently rumors in the crypto community that a new romantic relationship has distracted him from crypto altogether.

In particular, recent transfers of significant amounts of ETH are causing concern. At the same time as Vitalik’s transactions, the price of the second-largest cryptocurrency by capitalization began to fall. Therefore, some associate the negative dynamics with personal events in Buterin’s life.

“Ever since Vitalik got a girlfriend, ETH has been falling,” joked one crypto investor.

The next cryptocurrency on the list is BNB. The founder of this asset, Changpeng Zhao, is currently serving a prison sentence in California, USA. He was accused of facilitating money laundering through the Binance crypto exchange and violating the Bank Secrecy Act.

As part of the agreement with the US authorities, Zhao stepped down as the CEO of the trading platform. However, the businessman still controls about 64% of the total volume of BNB circulating on the market.

The real creator of Solana (SOL) is fine. However, the cryptocurrency’s ecosystem has not been spared troubles either.

SOL’s problems are linked to Sam Bankman-Fried, who is also currently in jail. He previously actively promoted Solana through FTX and Alameda Research. When the platforms went bankrupt, the cryptocurrency was trading at levels below $20. However, the asset has since recovered and is currently trading at $130.

The Ripple project, which is behind another major cryptocurrency, XRP, has been in litigation with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for several years. The stumbling block has been the status of XRP. The regulator considers the token a security that cannot be legally offered without proper registration.

The Solstice also mentioned the creators of the Dogecoin (DOGE) memecoin and the Tron (TRX) blockchain. The former, he said, does not own a single DOGE coin, while the latter is “monkeying around.”
