Crypto platform Bit2Me buys software studio Dekalabs

Spanish cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me acquires a 100% stake in Delalabs, a Spanish developer of reference software for blockchain, cryptocurrencies and Web3.

The parties said in a joint statement that Dekalabs will focus on developing the Bit2Me Consulting solution. The new exchange service is designed to help commercial companies and government agencies create Web3 tools based on the blockchain.

At the same time, Dekalabs will retain its structural autonomy and will continue to create projects as an independent software development studio for third-party companies:

“We are confident that Dekalabs should continue to operate autonomously, as it has done for the past few years, and we believe that, combined with the opportunities that consolidation with Bit2Me brings, we will be able to encourage many companies to integrate into the cryptocurrency industry.”

Through the Bit2me Consulting service, interested companies will be able to order consulting services, as well as services for the development and audit of tokenization, metaverses, smart contracts, NFTs and DAOs.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the management of the Spanish site Bit2Me assured that it had been planning the acquisition of Dekalabs for a long time.

At the beginning of the year, Spanish cryptocurrency exchange Bit2Me became the first licensed digital assets trading and custody service provider in the country. Bit2Me said it received a license from the Central Bank of Spain, which allowed the site to provide local banks with services for trading and storing digital currencies on their platforms. The exchange is already negotiating with several banks in the country.
