On March 4, CryptoPunk #3100, one of the nine so-called “alien punks”, was sold for 4500 ETH ($16.03 million).
According to the CryptoPunks platform, this sale is the second most valuable CryptoPunk transaction in the history of the NFT collection in both dollars and ether.
The seller outbid the previous offer of 4,250 ETH for $14.56 million, placed on March 1.
The deal moved CryptoPunk #3100 from third to second place in value on the marketplace.
According to The BlockCryptoPunk brought in a total of $8.25 million in sales last week.
For 2023, the minimum prices for the leading collections – Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunk – decreased by 57.6% and 13.8%, respectively.
In February 2024, a rare non-fungible token #1726 from the BAYC collection was sold for 275 ETH (~$688,000 at the time of the transaction).
