The Romanian postal company Poşta Română will install terminals to replenish crypto accounts in its post offices. This will be done as part of a joint pilot project with a cryptocurrency exchange platform BTR Exchange (Bitcoin Romania).
The first terminal is already working in the post office 1 in Tulch in the east of Romania, so users can make cash to replenish their accounts on the Bitcoin Romania platform.
Four other post offices in Alexandria, Pyatra-Nemets, Botoshani and cutting will be equipped with such terminals in the very near future.
The project reflects the desire of Poşta Română to integrate advanced technologies into their services and make innovations closer to all citizens, including in “less digitized” areas, the press release says.
Thanks to this step, more than 600,000 Romanians can invest in cryptocurrencies, said the President of the Association of Administrators of the Khosta funds.
In 2022, the Romanian postal company released the first official NFT, a digital anniversary brand dedicated to the 160th anniversary of activity. Part of the collection was sold at the auction, and the funds raised were donated by the Hospice Casa Speran strioni organization. Next year, the company released a collection of 100 NFT and cards dedicated to local heroes.
