Today, April 7, representatives of the Crytek company officially presented the updated version of Crysis Remastered, which was created specifically for the next generation consoles – PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S. The developers noted that in addition to optimizing the client for new hardware, they released a patch that fixes about a hundred bugs and various problems in the virtual world, added the Ascension mission to the console version of the game, in which the protagonist will have to control an assault helicopter. But, of course, the main feature of the update is the improved work of the shooter on fresh consoles.
Crytek said that in all three modes of operation Crysis Remastered (“Quality”, “Performance” and “Ray Tracing”) on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S gamers will notice improvements in all directions. On the other hand, it is important to note that there is still no native version of the remaster of the cult game on new consoles – Crysis Remastered works in backward compatibility mode. Because of this, it is likely that the developers did not get the most out of the consoles, but on both consoles in all three modes, the game should now run at a stable frame rate of 60 FPS. Only on the younger version of the Xbox Series S in the “Quality” mode with the ray tracing technology turned on, 30 FPS is expected – the power is still not enough for more.

- “Performance” – 1080p at 60 FPS.
