Cts: no to reopening. Gyms and swimming pools still closed

Too many infections, the variants run and Mario Draghi chooses to continue on the line of maximum caution and rigor. And, in accordance with the Cts, which at the top with the Government has brought data and tables that are not at all encouraging, freezes the reopening of some activities. The Prime Minister will not move according to political pressure, but strictly on the basis of numbers and the curve of the virus.

Numbers that are rising. Both with regard to the contagion curve with the English variant of the coronavirus already found in 30 percent of new cases.

Both with regard to hospitalizations. In eight regions, intensive care exceeded the saturation threshold.

The “advice” that the CTS entrusts to the government is that of “extreme prudence”. As if to say: it is not really the time to relax measures. So no to the reopening of gyms and swimming pools. Not even for individual lessons and rehabilitation therapies. No to afternoon courses for children. No to arcades and bingo halls. We will see today what Minister Franceschini will present in the new protocols to request the reopening of cinemas and theaters safely, perhaps in April.

In short, the CTS supports the rigorist wing of the government and if it were up to him, the Dpcm expiring on March 5 should be reconfirmed until Easter.
