Cucina Italiana wins the Giovanni Raspini Food & Wine Award 2021

The prize Giovanni Raspini Food & Wine Award 2021 was withdrawn by the editor of the magazine, Maddalena Fossati Dondero, in the presence of some of the most important figures of Italian culture and publishing, during a convivial meeting at the D’O restaurant of the starred chef Davide Oldani, in San Pietro all’Olmo, near Milan.

On the part of the Tuscan jewel company, the choice to award the magazine published by the Condé Nast publishing house, after the awards in previous editions to the chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo and the Marchesi Antinori winery, intends underline the work of a magazine that values conviviality, the tradition of the territories and a food culture attentive to the well-being of people and respectful of the environment.

A significant recognition to La Cucina Italiana, the most authoritative and most followed kitchen magazine since 1929, and still alive and sensitive today in describing food and wine in a contemporary key, promoting “the beauty and the good” of food in the name of comparison and integration and recently committed to supporting the candidacy of Italian home cooking as a World Heritage Site.

«My impression – said the director – is that at this moment we are finding the orientation, the polar star for a more evolved path. The environmental issue is increasingly perceived as a real emergency. The youngest are sensitive, they are passionate about the ingredient, its origins and Italy can play an important game ».
