OAB-SP (Brazilian Bar Association Section São Paulo) reported, this Friday (23), that will offer free legal assistance to women who undergo some kind of harassment during Cultural turn event that takes place between Saturday (24) and Sunday (25), in São Paulo.
The action called “OAB for them at Virada Cultural” is coordinated by the Women’s Commission Lawyer of the São Paulo Order. According to the agency, the initiative brings 20 service points distributed in all regions of the city where the presentations take place.
The entity reported that the objective is to expand access to information, welcome victims of harassment and guide legal proceedings, such as complaints and evidence collection. “The idea is to ensure a kind of continuous and qualified legal orientation throughout the program of Virada Cultural.”
How the action works
According to the Order, the services must operate from 4 pm on the 24th to 6 pm on May 25, with times that adapt to the schedule of cultural shows and activities.
In addition to the face -to -face structure, the legal agency reported that the service can also be done remotely, through an online duty to clarify doubts.
“A form for service, which can be accessed by a visible QR code at points of the event, will also be available to women who suffer harassment,” is what OAB SP says.
20 years of cultural turn
With the theme “20 years in 24 hours”, this year’s Virada Cultura celebrates the project’s 20 years of existence and should occupy more than 20 official stages and more than 100 cultural spaces spread throughout all regions of the state capital. The news this year is that the event will be concentrated again in the center and expanded center of the city.

- Center: 5 stages (Anhangabaú, Sé, Arouche, Republic and Patriarch).
In addition to the official stages, municipal spaces such as libraries, theaters, cultural centers, culture houses and unified educational centers (CEUs) will also receive attractions. The turn will also have local stage such as MASP, Japan House, Itaú Cultural, IMS, Fiesp Cultural Center and Cultural Reserve.
