Cuomo: Does not resign but apologizes again for sexual harassment allegations

Accused of sexual harassment New York Governor Andrew Cuomo apologized again today, noting, however, that he will not “resign” in his first public appearance after revelations by three women accusing him of indecent behavior, according to APE.

“I now understand that I acted in a way that made people feel uncomfortable. “I did not do it on purpose and I apologize sincerely and deeply,” the 63-year-old Democratic governor, one of the most powerful governors of the United States, told a news conference.

“I feel uncomfortable about it and I am honestly ashamed of it,” he said.

He again called on New Yorkers to “wait for an opinion” on the results of the New York prosecutor’s investigation into the allegations, noting that he would cooperate fully with prosecutor Leticia James in her investigation.
