The new generation of Samsung’s flagship mobile phones, the Galaxy S22 series, hit the market just a few days ago. Now, Samsung has released the kernel source code for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series received the Exynos 2200 single-chip system in Europe and some Asian regions. However, in China and the US, this series is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 single-chip system. Samsung has released the kernel source code for the Exynos 2200 versions. The company will release the kernel source code for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 version in the near future.

Software developers can go to the Samsung Open Source Release Center to view and download the kernel source code for Galaxy S22 (SM-S901B), Galaxy S22+ (SM-S906B), and Galaxy S22 Ultra (SM-S908B).
The Samsung Galaxy S22 series got One UI 4.1 pre-installed and the kernel source code is based on Android 12. TWRP and custom ROMs are expected in the near future, but users will need to unlock the bootloader to install them.
